1. Soto Betawi.
Indonesia has different soto from one province to another province. 6. Rice Tumpeng Betawi.

9. Gabus Pucung (Cork Pucung).
This is a typical authentic food from Betawi or Jakarta that is very famous. The ingredients are cork fish cooked with kluwak, which is a kind of spice produced from the tree of kepayang. Betawi people call kluwak with the word "pucung". Other ingredients that are needed are coriander, galangal, turmeric, vinegar, sugar, coconut, shrimp paste and much more. The restaurant that serves Gabus Pucung, nowadays is very much encountered in the suburbs of Jakarta like Bekasi.
The dish is similar to Penang's laksa (Malaysia) but it tastes different. The ingredients used are soft boiled noodles, then added tuna slices, pineapple slices, red peppers and doused with broth. Usually added again with a wedge of flower kecombrang and terasi. In order to add fresh, lemon oranges squeezed topped. This dish is very rarely found in Jakarta.
